Ore Dump Episode 6 AvailableWritten by Don "Deuce" Gill (email)posted under 'club announcements', 'ore dump podcast', 'prospecting humor'Reader Comments >>> |
This week's episode of the Prospectors Plus ‘Ore Dump’ podcast ended up pulling a lot of conversation from our club forums right to the old kitchen table. As typical we opened by discussing the changes in the gold and silver markets, quickly followed by an update on our prospector t-shirt contest, our funniest post of the week (which turned out to be Chris' post on fracking) as well as answering our forum question of the week. Dead Air lost a bet to old Deuce on the name of the state fish of Hawaii. Back rubs commenced.
We then moved on to discuss the dangers of using Geocommunitator as your only source of prospecting research. The conversation then turned about the opportunities our members have in stepping away from the easy to get to places and start prospecting the harder to get to and more challenging areas of our 1100+ acres of claims.
We then had reported on the success of the last two weeks of member outings - the Resource Coalition meeting, the Olney Creek trail maintenance and the shop move from Sultan to Goldbar. Larry then announced his upcoming Know How Series covering how to cleanup your gold concentrates and a really exciting one on steelhead fishing. Check out upcoming events for more information on when and where.
Don't forget to give us feedback on this episode in the forums.
