Cle Elum and Liberty Area Forest Fires

Please stay away this week from the Cle Elum and Liberty areas. There are lots of forest fires and getting close to the Liberty area. The Kittitas Valley fire dept and the DNR and other resources are working hard trying to contain the areas, but the fires are still not under control and moving too close for comfort and fast due to winds etc. Please pray for the safety of the crews, Chris included. He is helping try and contain and keep the area safe with the fire dept as well.

There have been several homes destroyed and thousands of acres of forest and animals. Please pray for the fires to stop and for those who have lost their homes already. If anyone can help please contact the Kittitas fire dept.

Michele is there anything we as members can do to help? We are aware they do not want outsiders in the way because of the danger but what else if anything can be done to help. My daughter drove over from Wenatchee Friday night and said it is a devistating fire and so many homes and livestock destroyed. we all feel sorry for the residents that are in harms way, it is so beautiful in that area. Well thanks Paul. We have the best members! So many have offered help.... at this moment Liberty is still on evacutation level 1, so not sure what this week will yet bring. Thank you for the offer and prayers for those who have lost so much and thanks and prayers to my husband, a firefighter as well with the many more!
