Happy New Year! Sorry the newsletter is late, very busy times!

  • There will be a number of outings this year sponsored by Premier Polaris of Monroe, geared to ride ATV's. One location is Crystal Peak. While Prospectors Plus is not providing quads, owner of Polaris, Randy will loan out a few. Please call the store to get on the attend list is you are interested.
  • We have planned to have metal detecting night hunts this year at the outings. A small fee will be charged for entry for awesome prizes.
  • The beach mining outing is January 14-16th weekend at the Cape Dissappointment State Park. No vehicles are allowed on the beach. If you do not have your permit you can still come and learn and enjoy, watch and help or buddy up with someone who has there JARPA. Friday will be mostly set up and Saturday & Sunday we will be mining on the beach. PP will have several new pieces of equipment there as well.
  • We are going to have a high banking outing on Chris & Michele's private family claim. Space will be limited, so if your interested please call and get on the list.
  • If you visit Olney Creek or any state park you will need your new state discover pass.
  • Don't forget to ask about the other areas we use and have access to. For example, the cystal mine, garnet areas, and other gold areas that have been donated to us, or is open public land, that we use as well, such as Waddell and Raging River, the ocean beaches etc.
  • Gold show season is coming in February! Don't forget to watch the upcoming member events calendar! Were traveling around this year to a number of shows!
  • We are working on plans to sell guns and ammo. Some will be on consignment. If you have any guns you would like to consign please call or come in.
  • Our south end chapter is working on there own outings this year and they will be posted. They are also working on special exciting events! Thank you Stan & Bert!
  • The manner in which we are collecting dues this year will be different. They will be pro-rated this coming year, we will send out renewals accordingly!
  • The Waddell Creek outing was a great time and everyone found a least a little gold!
  • In Liberty, Washington, the property adjacent to the #7 claim was sold for 3.5 million dollars. The new owners are actively prospecting it.
If you want to go on a hiking trip/claim exploration then call the store so that they can start a sign-up sheet.
Brawn Manufacturing is building larger-scale trommels and plans to demonstrate a smaller one at some of this year’s outings.
Progress is being made in regards to the store buying, selling and consigning guns. The club is planning on target shooting events at some of the scheduled outings later this year.
The store is doing rock cutting once again.
  • We are now taking on consignment waders and rubber boots. They must be in good condition, no holes. Please call the store or bring em in!
