The annual resources coalition miners rally is going to be held once again in Liberty; August 24 through 26. This event will be hosted by the resource coalition. Vendors, games and information on gold resources, clubs, and on hands training.
This event is free to the public as well. Educational presentations and lectures, observe placer claim operations, prospecting clubs, and mining equipment, on-site food available, raffle and metal detecting night hunt and more. Always a great event and lots to see & do. Come support this fantastic organization who help fight for our mining rights. Lots of press & media usually attend. Last year CNN's own Patrick Oppman attended and interviewed folks. Pretty cool!

Please stay away this week from the Cle Elum and Liberty areas. There are lots of forest fires and getting close to the Liberty area. The Kittitas Valley fire dept and the DNR and other resources are working hard trying to contain the areas, but the fires are still not under control and moving too close for comfort and fast due to winds etc. Please pray for the safety of the crews, Chris included. He is helping try and contain and keep the area safe with the fire dept as well. Read more.:>
