This week's episode of the Ore Dump Podcast closes out 2010 with a bang. To help celebrate the joys and successes of the year, we played a "secret word" game with prizes. Wouldn't you know it - Chris was the first winner (and didn't want to share his prize with Michele). We discussed the hit show "Gold Rush: Alaska" (highly opinionated), shared news about the recent installation of an ATM in Florida that spits out gold bars rather than cash, and shared some of the exciting events we have planned for the coming year!

When storms hit hard, many experienced prospectors head out to the fields, not to dig for gold but to spend time examining their favorite areas at flood. Seeing the dramatic changes in water flow, water pressures and eddies can be vital clues for your next prospecting adventure.

Well, I must admit – sometimes life just sorta catches up on yeah and a person falls behind. That’s where I find myself today - weeks behind on reporting out all the great stuff happening in our club. I shamefully haven’t posted to the blog in almost two weeks, yet there has been tons of stuff happening. I am also the editor for the Ore Dump Podcast, which if you are an avid fan, will notice that it too is a full week behind schedule on uploading to the internet. Well, between work, the kid’s winter sports and prepping for Christmas, I’ve done a pretty poor job of it lately. Sorry.
