The Parks Dept is holding a meeting because the surfriders foundation says there wasn't enough public notice and input on the rules. The meeting is at the Montesano city hall at 6pm on Feb. 16th.

Kathy Greer of the surfriders foundation anticipates there will be suggestions to amend the new rules and try to impose a $150 fee for the permit!

If people can't attend maybe they could email Lisa Lantz who is an enviornmental planner for the parks dept at Lisa.Lantz@Parks.WA.GOV in support and how we're helping out the depressed local economys.

Another year, another show season! Prospectors Plus will be partnering with BRAWN MANUFACTURING, and next to Polarais of Monroe, at the 2012 Washington Prospectors Mining Association, annual Gold, Gem and Mineral Show. At the Monroe Evergreen Fairgrounds; 9:00am to 4:00pm, Sat. & Sun. Adults $5.00 Kids 13 and under a free!

This is a great show for any and all prospector out there. Tell all your friends and family if they’re interested in gold this is a great way to see all the products in one place. There’s more stuff here than you can shake a pan at. There are numerous raffles with big prizes!

Come on out and help support your local clubs and gear suppliers like BRAWN Mfg. Stop on by our booth and check out all of our new products. Don’t forget to enter the great raffles at the show for you chance at some great prizes like, Prospecting Gear, Free Memberships, Hats, and Shirts. The raffles will be held on both days!

Due to the severe weather and snow, we were closed part of this week, however open again this Saturday and Sunday and resume our usual Wednesday though Sunday business hours. Thanks for your patience and hope you all were safe and sound during the snowy weather!

Due to the severe snow storm and weather, the south end meeting will be cancelled. Many of you will not want to drive in this so stay home and be safe!

We plan on being open this week, but if the weather is really bad, we are not anticipating many customers, and we will be closed. At least Wednesday maybe Thursday if the weather gets worse.

February Hootenannys are Wednesday Feb 1st - Monroe -7PM at Alfys Pizza.

Our south end meeting will be the 18th of this month, (January) 7pm at Round Table Pizza.

We posted some new information in the upcoming member events section regarding this weekend's beach outing. Make sure to call prior to prospecting. Members Steve Payne and Doug Watson will be heading up this outing. They will meet at the campground around 9am Saturday! Read upcoming events for more info....

We can now email you the application if you would like to join online. Please call Michele @ 206-271-9042 or the store and we can email you the form with dues amount. Then you will have to email the form back to us or fax it to 360-793-2173, pay over the phone or send a check. Then you will receive your packet and snazzy sticker and laminated card, gain access to the exclusive member maps and upcoming events calendar.

Chris and I rarely go out for dinner. Because Chris loves to watch Gordon Ramsey's kitchen nightmares and Hell's Kitchen, he knows good food. Luckily he likes mine!(Or at least pretends he does).
